HANDSET FINANCE removes the burden of handset subsidy from the balance sheet and offers subscribers, currently not eligible for handset subsidy, the opportunity to pay for mid-high end smartphones in several instalments. As a result, more subscribers have access to smartphones, increasing data usage and spend.
HANDSET FINANCE delivers the technology and credit risk management capabilities required to process handset finance as part of the MNO enrolment process, with an end to end approval taking less than 5 minutes. The handset finance capability is enabled in collaboration with one or more local finance institutions, who will take the loans and the associated credit risk onto their balance sheet.
